In this exercise we had to practice the 180 degree rule, match on action, shot reverse shot and rule of thirds.
Match on action is when the editor edits two shots together to make the second look like it is continuous from the first. For example, someone may be opening a door from the inside in one shot, and in the next, be walking out of it from the other side.
Shot reverse shot is when the camera goes back and frorth to different people, for example in a convesation to show what person is speeking, the editor may use close ups of each character when their lines being said.
Rule of thirds is when a camera screen gets divided into nine sqaures, it is used to present a better picture to the audience and so that it looks nicer, and so that everything is aligned. Now I will show you my strory boarding and allow you to see the full story.
